Our Mission

Welcome to Catford Coding Club, a volunteer run Saturday coding club dedicated to promoting the development and education of young people.

Our coding classes aim to making coding accessible by providing a variety of free and affordable classes for local children (aged 7 to 15) with no equipment needed.

Our classes will be hosted on Saturdays in the Junior School of St Dunstan's in Catford.

Our classes

Our curriculum will follow the Raspberry Pi Foundation structure.  Children can start out learning to code in Scratch before moving onto Python when they are ready. This term we're running courses in Scratch, Python and Machine Learning. In the past we have also run physical computing classes, using micro: bits and Picos, and programming our Pi's with Python to interface with electrical components such as LEDs, switches., motors and sensors.

We've also launched a chess and board game where children can play a variety of collaborative and competitive board games and chess. Volunteers are available to help children or they are welcome to play independently.

If there are other classes you'd like to see or you have any questions or feedback, please get in touch.

Our Trustees

We are a volunteer run charity. In addition to our trustees we have a fantastic team of coding volunteers.
